The challenge
Strong brand (119K social) leaking revenue: no Pixel in head, 70% ads to Messenger, 13/33 duplicate ads, PDPs show zero reviews.
119,000 followers. 33 live ads on Meta. A WooCommerce store. A DTC skincare brand in Egypt that looks excellent from the outside.
Health score: 46 out of 100. With an estimate that ROAS could rise by 35% to 65% if the issues below were fixed.
What we found, ordered by severity:
There's no pixel in the site's head. Meta cannot see purchases at all, so it optimises toward clicks. Every unit of spend across those 33 ads is learning from the wrong signal. That isn't a problem with one campaign. It's a problem with every campaign that has run and every campaign that will.
70% of the ads send people to Messenger. Not to a product page. To a chat. Two consequences follow: no remarketing audience is built from site visitors, and sales are closed manually, one at a time. The brand runs against a ceiling set by staff hours.
13 of the 33 ads are duplicates, with the same ad bidding against itself in the auction. Estimated CPM inflation from cannibalisation runs 10% to 25%. You're paying extra to compete with yourself.
And the product pages carry zero reviews. A brand with 119,000 followers, and its product page holds no evidence of any kind. Reviews alone lift conversion rate by 18% to 30% in skincare.
Five moves, taking 7 to 30 days: pixel and Conversions API in the head. Shifting ads from Messenger to product pages while keeping one messaging campaign for consultations. Merging the duplicate ads. Real reviews on every product page. And building remarketing audiences from the site.
One thing must be said: this is a diagnosis, not a result. The figures above are estimates based on sector benchmarks, not outcomes that were achieved.
A brand strong on social can be bleeding through the funnel unnoticed, because the numbers you can see aren't the numbers that pay the rent.
